At the core of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the principle that people with a disability may participate socially in their communities.

The NDIS recognises that social participation can lead to a range of benefits, including:

  • Positive contribution to an individual’s sense of wellbeing, helping to bring balance in their lives
  • Improved wellbeing outcomes in relation to health, employment, education and life satisfaction
  • Enhanced ‘social capital’, through community engagement, building awareness and creating an understanding of diversity
  • Building networks to sustain informal care and support arrangements
  • Promotion of inclusion of all people, to break down stereotypes and barriers and aim to develop personal skills and capacity for engagement in a variety of activities, to ensure that their social participation is meaningful.

Culture Engage complies with the following NDIS requirements:

– We adhere to the NDIS Practice Standards

– We adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct

– All team members are compliant with the national worker screening system

– We have a complaints management and resolution system

– We comply with the incident management requirements, including reportable incidents

– We comply with the behaviour support requirements, to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices.
